Annville woman arrested for online marketplace theft and fraudulent transactions

LAFAYETTE, La. – A Kentucky woman is charged with online marketplace theft and fraudulent transactions.

Louisiana State Police says detectives launched an investigation in October 2024 in collaboration with Kentucky State Police.

The investigation centered around theft and illegal monetary transactions by Teresa Holcomb, 44, of Annville, on an online marketplace.

Detectives say they discovered Holcomb was linked to multiple fraudulent schemes and intentionally defrauded a victim out of $1,330 through a digital payment platform. Authorities say Holcomb failed to deliver goods she listed for sale through an online marketplace.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Holcomb through the 15th Judicial District Court in Louisiana.

KSP arrested Holcomb on February 21, 2025, in Jackson County.

Holcomb was transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on March 21. She was processed and charged with two counts of LA RS 14:67 Theft and two counts of LA RS 14:70.8 Illegal Transmission of Monetary Funds.
