Citizens give feedback on 2050 Metro Transportation Plan
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, the community got to come out and voice their opinion on some new transportation projects as part of the What Could BG Be Initiative.
This was done in an open house format, where citizens could walk around and look at different charts and maps to see what areas are being considered for improvement.
They could then give feedback on these projects, and help determine the future of Bowling Green’s roads.
City County Planning Commission executive director Ben Peterson gave us a little insight into some of the projects already in the works.
“The City of Bowling Green is partnering with a property owner to extend Bluegrass Farms Boulevard… that will be a key connector between Scottsville Road and Plano Road. The bypass widening near the Medical Center… so from Fairview to Second Avenue. We have the Nashville Road expansion in front of Potter Children’s Home… from the roundabout to Campbell Lane, which will also include a shared use path. Three Springs Road is coming very soon,” Peterson says.
There will be one more chance to give feedback on the future of transportation in Bowling Green.
News 40 will keep you updated as to when that will be.
