Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society releases 2024 statistics

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society released its 2024 yearly statistics on Thursday.

According to a press release, the humane society had 11,457 intakes in between January 1 and December, 30, 2024, including 5,566 cats,5,436 dogs, and 455 other animals. 996 animals were pulled from other shelters to avoid euthanasia.

Of those intakes, 5,488 were adopted, 1,115 reclaimed, and 3,543 were rescued.

The humane society provided 5,441 spay and neuters and 6,360 free vaccinations through grant funding.

According to the humane society, Warren County’s intakes outpaced Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee in 2024.
