Theft of guns from Warren County home leads to arrests

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Two people are facing charges after police say they stole several guns from a Warren County home.
According to a uniform citation, the Russellville Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded just after 6:40 p.m. Thursday to Highland Lick Road in reference to a caller stating Camron Hines, 22, of Cookeville, Tennessee and Sherese Brueck, 20, of Rockfield, Kentucky were involved in a theft.
Police say it was reported both individuals stole three firearms and $1,500 in cash from the caller’s home in Warren County.
The citation says officers made contact with Hines at a residence in Russellville and placed him under arrest for two warrants out of Warren County.
Brueck was also located at the same residence and agreed to speak with officers, according to the citation.
According to police, Brueck said two of the three guns and some marijuana were in a backpack behind the building.
Police say they found the backpack 15 yards into the woods behind the residence.
Inside of the backpack, police say they found five mason jars containing suspected marijuana and two of the three guns that were stolen.
In addition, police say they learned from the apartment manager that the apartment at this location was supposed to be vacant. While inside the apartment, police say they found a pink marijuana grinder, black scales, a storage box and a bong.
Brueck and Hines were arrested and transported to the Logan County Detention Center.
Brueck and Hines are charged with receiving stolen property between $1,000 and $10,000, second-degree criminal trespassing, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and trafficking in marijuana (between 8 ounces and 5 pounds), first offense.
Hines is also charged in relation to the warrants out of Warren County.
