Man operating sports bike dead after crashing into guardrail

OAK GROVE, Ky. – Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Christian County.

KSP says it responded to a call at 1:07 pm on Sunday to a fatal collision on Interstate 24, 86-mile marker.

The preliminary investigation shows Alan R. Gonzalez, 28 of Oak Grove, was operating a sports big eastbound on I-24. Deangelo D. Miller, 43 of El Dorado Union, AR, was operating a semi-truck eastbound.

Police say Gonzalez merged onto I-24 from US 41-A, where he lost control of the sports bike and hit a guardrail. The sports bike traveled across both lanes and was struck by the semi-truck.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner. Miller did not sustain injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
