Man allegedly threatens to blow up home with children inside in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – Two people have been arrested after police say a man allegedly threatened to blow up a home in Glasgow.

According to a uniform citation, the Glasgow Police Department responded Monday, Oct. 28 to a home on Sam Terry Avenue regarding a disturbance around 8:40 a.m.

Police say the caller stated a male subject was threatening to blow up the house.

Police say the female caller told dispatch she could smell gasoline and that she had locked herself and her children into a bedroom with the male still inside the house.

Upon arrival, police say contact was made with a male subject, identified as Luis Carcamo-Pacheco, 35.

Carcamo-Pacheco was detained inside the home, authorities say.

Police say they spoke to Felicia Martinez, 38, of Glasgow inside of the bedroom. According to authorities, the house smelled very strongly of gasoline.

Glasgow fire responded to the scene, and authorities say firefighters said they detected fumes inside of the bedroom that were unsafe to breath in.

Police say they found a large bottle of ammonia left open within reach of the children inside of the home.

According to police, Martinez told them she was not sure where the gasoline smell was coming from and later stated Carcamo-Pacheco used gasoline to mop the floors to try to kill scabies.

Police say a family member responded to the scene and took temporary custody of the children.

Carcamo-Pacheco and Martinez were arrested. Both are charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and remain at the Barren County Detention Center.
