BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Changes are on the horizon for local radio listeners in Warren and Barren Counties as Commonwealth Broadcasting and Seven Mountains Media embark on a significant exchange of radio stations.

In a recent announcement, Commonwealth Broadcasting revealed its acquisition of several radio stations from Seven Mountains Media located in Glasgow. In return, Seven Mountains Media will take over Commonwealth Broadcasting’s stations in Warren County. This deal marks a pivotal moment for both broadcasting companies and the communities they serve.

As part of this transaction, Seven Mountains Media will gain control of the following stations: SAM 100.7, 105.3 The Point, WOVO 106.3, 95.5 The Vibe, 98.3 The Edge and ESPN 102.7 In exchange, Commonwealth Broadcasting will acquire WCLU, WILLY, and three additional frequencies as well as digital platforms.

The primary goal behind this strategic acquisition is to create a more cohesive broadcasting service for residents of both Barren and Warren Counties. With enhanced resources and shared programming, the hope is to better serve the local audience with a diverse range of content.

While this transaction holds great promise for local listeners, it is still pending approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Once finalized, the acquisition could reshape the radio landscape and enhance community engagement through improved broadcasting services.
