Aviation Heritage Park Museum celebrates one year anniversary

Bowling Green, Ky. – A Bowling Green favorite is celebrating it’s one-year anniversary on Monday, and they couldn’t be more excited for what the next year has to come.

Aviation Heritage Park Museum turns one, and the museum has already accomplished so much. So far this year the museum has opened five new exhibits, and honored countless local veterans while staying a free resource to the community. The museum has plenty planned for year number two but for now, they are admiring all they have accomplished in such a short amount of time.

“To think that one year ago we opened the doors to the public for the first time to the Aviation Heritage Park Museum. The dream of Big Dan Cherry’s, and so many volunteers for many years going all the way back to before 2009 actually, when they brought in the F-4. It’s just unbelievable that we’ve gotten this far at such a short time.” said Bob Bubnis, Executive Director of the Aviation Heritage Park Museum.
