Area Tourism departments launch the Western Kentucky Wine Trail
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Area tourism departments, including Warren County and surrounding areas are partnering together to launch the first ever Western Kentucky Wine Trail.
Six tourism departments have come up with a list of nine wineries across Western Kentucky to complete the trail. The wineries include Bluegrass Vineyard (Warren Co.), Buckhorn Creek Vineyard (Marshall Co.), Carriage House Vineyards (Logan Co.), Fancy Farm Vineyard & Winery (Graves Co.), Naimoli Estate (Christian Co.), Poca Terra Winery (Marshall Co.), Purple Toad Winery (Mccracken Co.), Reid’s Livery Winery (Warren Co.), and Traveler’s Cellar Winery (Warren Co.).
Anyone who participates can also pick up a passport booklet from any of the wine trail locations or tourism departments along the trail and receive a stamp on the passport at each stop.
Madison Lindsey, Marketing Director for the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, says, “Looking to explore other wineries and get a taste for what else is out there. Every winery is a little bit different, and they’re making some amazing wines, award-winning wines. I know all three of our wineries here have won some great awards as well, and not to mention all these other parts on the trail too.”
Participants who visit all nine locations and receive every stamp by the end of 20-24 will receive a wine glass and be entered for a grand prize drawing.
