Kentucky State Policing hiring facilities security officers

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is looking for new officers.

Governor Andy Beshear announced that KSP is seeking facilities security officers on Tuesday.

The starting salary for the position is $42,860.

The KSP Security Branch protects state office buildings in Frankfort, providing safe work environments for employees and visiting parties.

“I am thankful for the important role these officers play in protecting the commonwealth and its public servants,” said Gov. Beshear. “Thanks to the work of facilities security officers, the work done by Kentuckians and for Kentuckians is able to get done efficiently and safely.”

“Providing security to Kentucky’s state office buildings and to our fellow state employees is not a responsibility that the Security Branch takes lightly,” said Lt. Alison Ramsey, security branch commander. “Any Kentuckian seeking to do their part in creating a better, safer Kentucky is encouraged to apply to become a Facilities Security Officer.”
