Butler County man arrested on drug possession charges during traffic stop
MORGANTOWN, Ky. – One person has been arrested on drug charges in Morgantown, Kentucky.
According to a social media post by Morgantown police chief Giles Taylor, officers conducted a traffic stop Sunday morning at the Church Street stop sign on W G L Smith Street regarding an incident from earlier Saturday night.
Police say the individual was identified as Christopher Noyd, 56, of Morgantown.
During the traffic stop, police say they located methamphetamine, along with needles and a small container with suspected methamphetamine residue.
Noyd faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance, first (methamphetamine). He was transported and lodged at the Butler County Jail.
