UPDATE: Scottsville man found dead in floodwater

ADOLPHUS, Ky. – On Thursday at approximately 10:15 a.m., the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Scottsville Police Departments, volunteer firefighters and the Allen County Rescue Squad responded to the 100 block of Blankenship Road on call to an overturned vehicle in water.

Deputies located a white vehicle in the water approximately fifty yards off the roadway.

Deputies did not locate subjects in the vehicle.

Following the check of the vehicle, deputies observed what they believed to be an unresponsive male subject forty yards west of the vehicle.

The identity of the man is Clarence Novosel, 56 of Scottsville.

The Allen County Coroner pronounced Novosel deceased at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
