Kentucky Transportation Cabinet releases traffic impact report

SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has some upcoming road closures that you may need to know about.

Interstate 165 in Butler County is continuing a project to resurface and rehabilitate that area. This will last from mile point 26.4 to mile point 32.8.

The project is expected to be complete Nov. 1.

There will also be a contractor throughout the next few weeks putting striping down on various routes. KYTC asks motorists to use caution while passing these workers.

There’s also road construction in Logan County on Kentucky 103 at mile point 7 to 10, as well as Kentucky 1293 at mile point 0 to 5, until June 30.

In addition, construction continues in Warren County on a new left and right turning lane from U.S. 68 to Fred Madison Road. That project should wrap up this month, according to transportation officials.

In Metcalfe County, crews will also be working on Kentucky 533 at mile point 8 to 9.9.

In Edmonson County, two projects are set to impact travel this month.

At Kentucky 187 at mile point 2.2, there is a project to replace a bridge on Sunfish Road. The road is closed at Whetstone Creek and there are detours available.

At Kentucky 70 at mile point 11, a contractor will continue working on rail and sidewalk repair on the Green River Bridge. This should be completed in one month.

Finally, in Simpson County at Kentucky 100, there’s a project to rehabilitate the concrete section between KY 1008 and U.S. 31-W Bypass.

That project is set to be finished by July 1.
