Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky announces new director of education

Bowling Green, KY – Lauren Griffing has been named Director of Education for Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky. In this role, Griffing will oversee all JA educational programming in the Bowling Green and South Central Kentucky areas. These programs focus on preparing over 10,000 local K-12 students for work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

“Lauren’s experience is invaluable to Junior Achievement,” said Allie R. Sharp Hilderbrandt, President of Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky. “Her experience in both the classroom and in the corporate arena will bring a unique perspective to this role. The leadership Griffing will provide will help ensure the future success of JA in the Bowling Green area and beyond.”

Griffing is a Bowling Green native who received degrees from both UK and WKU. She lives in town with her husband, Brian, and two children, Evelyn and Laine. Her career history includes impactful roles within the education, HR, and business fields.

“I am looking forward to the impact I can make on the students and our Kentucky communities,” Griffing stated. “I have always had a passion for helping students. As a past educator, I’m excited to continue supporting and preparing students for their futures.”
