Barren County school bus involved in collision
GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow police responded Friday morning for a collision involving a Barren County school bus on Trojan Trail.
According to the Glasgow Police Department, a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder operated by Larry Gibson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee tried to turn left out of a Barren County school parking lot onto Trojan Trail.
Police say the Nissan then pulled into the path of a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer being operated by Layla Smith of Glasgow.
This led Smith’s vehicle to collide with the school bus operated by Brian Long of Cave City, Kentucky, police say.
Police say there were 30 students on the bus at the time of the collision.
Smith was treated for facial injures, and one student was treated for back pain.
According to police, Gibson and Long were not injured.
