KSP charges Edmonson Co. man with child sexual exploitation offenses

MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. – An Edmonson County man is facing child sexual exploitation charges.

On April 23, 2024, at approximately 11:48 a.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Austin Douglas Hubbard, 24, on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

An undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation was conducted and by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. During the investigation, KSP discovered the subject sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

Following the investigation, a warrant was issued for Hubbard on April 23, 2024. KSP seized equipment and was analyzed at KSP’s forensic laboratory.

Hubbard is charged with ten counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under twelve years old and ten counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old. Hubbard faces Class-C felonies punishable by five to ten years in prison.

The investigation is ongoing.

Hubbard was lodged in the Hart County Detention Center.
