2 arrested on drug charges in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Two men have are facing drug charges in Allen County after a traffic stop.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says on Sunday afternoon, it stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Maysville Road.

The driver, identified as Ronnie Allen, 39, had an active arrest warrant, deputies say.

After a Scottsville Police Department K-9 was deployed, deputies say there was a positive alert for narcotics. Deputies say they located a clear plastic bag of methamphetamine.

In addition, deputies say they found clear plastic bag of methamphetamine on a passenger, identified as Jeremy Riley, 23.

Both were transported to the Allen County Detention Center and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine).
