Drug task force, police investigating fatal overdose in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Drug task force agents and police are investigating a potential drug overdose death in Simpson County.

The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force stated it responded with Franklin police on March 27 to the SpringHill Suites by Mariott Franklin Mint for a dead male, identified as Larry Dewayne Wheeler, 56, of Tennessee.

The male’s death is currently being considered a drug overdose death, officials say.

The investigation is ongoing.
