Amy Milliken elected to leadership position at the Kentucky Association of Counties

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Warren County Attorney Amy Hale Milliken was elected Thursday and sworn in Thursday night to the position of second vice president of the Kentucky Association of Counties executive committee.

The term is for one year and the position puts Milliken in line for presidency of the organization in three years.

KACo represents county government needs – for all 120 Kentucky counties – at the legislative level and provides services to county governments to help them improve.

“I am so very honored to have been chosen as the second vice president of the Kentucky Association of Counties,” Milliken said. “KACo is a tremendous organization that does so much for our counties. When we come together we are a strong voice in Frankfort and Washington. I am thrilled to represent Warren County on this board.

“I am super excited and ready to work,” she said.

Warren County Jailer Stephen Harmon said he was honored to watch his friend and mentor sworn in.

“There is no one better than Amy for this executive board,” Harmon said. “Amy serves all of the Warren County citizens with fairness and excellence, and I am certain that her position at KACo will be no different. I was proud to watch her sworn in as an upcoming executive member to the board of such an amazing organization.”
