BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man is behind bars on multiple charges after allegedly fleeing law enforcement in Bowling Green.

According to a uniform citation, a Bowling Green police officer responded Tuesday evening to Bowling Green Police Department headquarters at 911 Kentucky St. regarding a citizen assist.

Upon arrival, police say the caller, identified as 29-year-old Bobby Nhep, was in the front lobby.

Authorities say Nhep wanted to know what locations he was banned from within the city.

Police say Nhep was banned from several locations and that they advised Nhep to call the police department before going to specific location.

Nhep then asked what to do if he didn’t want to talk to an officer and what would happen if he fled, authorities say.

Authorities say Nhep was told he was free to leave at that time.

According to police, Nhep then was asked to leave and “took a fighting stance with a skateboard in his hand.”

Authorities say the officer attempted to place Nhep into custody, however, Nhep resisted and fled.

Nhep was taken to the ground in the parking lot of the Warren County Regional Jail, according to police.

Nhep was placed into custody and transported to the Medical Center at Bowling Green for medical clearance.

Nhep remains at the Warren County Regional Jail on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), third-degree assault of a police or probation officer, menacing, second-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
