Smiths Grove man arrested after allegedly soliciting minor online
SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – One man is facing charges after allegedly soliciting a minor online in Smiths Grove.
According to Trooper Katan Parker, public affairs officer for Kentucky State Police Post Three, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a group called Predator Poachers regarding the case, and deputies reached out to the Kentucky State Police.
As a result, Parker says troopers responded at approximately 10:45 p.m. Wednesday to a home in Smiths Grove.
According to Parker, 35-year-old Joshua Petersen of Smiths Grove was arrested roughly an hour later that night.
At the time of this report, Petersen remains at the Warren County Regional Jail on a charge of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means.
