Fruit Stripe Gum discontinued from stores

(CNN) – A piece of your childhood may soon be off of the shelves.
Fruit Stripe Gum, the gum that is sold in the colorful package with a zebra, has been discontinued.
The candy aisle mainstay has been around for more than half a century.
Fruit Stripe Gum-maker Ferrara Candy announced the news in a statement, according to Food and Wine Magazine.
The company said fans of the product may still be able to find it at certain retailers where it remains in stock.
