Tornado siren test to take place Friday

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Warren County Emergency Management wants to warn the public about a tornado siren test this Friday.

If you hear the system activated at noon that day, the agency says it is only a test.

Tornado sirens should not be a primary source for alerts, according to officials. They are not intended for indoor use, so it is best to get alerts from apps, such as AlertSense, a NOAA Weather Radio or media outlets.
