Reminder: Emergency management, National Weather Service to hold statewide tornado drill

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office says officials are issuing a statewide tornado drill tomorrow.

Kentucky Emergency Management and the National Weather Service are conducting the drill on Wednesday, March 1 at 9:07 a.m.

Unless weather is unfavorable that day, authorities say the NWS plans to activate weather radios during the drill. Locally, you can expect community outdoor warning sirens to sound.

Emergency management says AlertSense will also be tested during this time.
