Woman apprehended in Bowling Green on rape, sexual abuse charges involving child

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A woman is behind bars on multiple charges, including rape involving a child under 12.

According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police served an indictment warrant Monday on 33-year-old Brittany Cornett of Morgantown.

Cornett is now formally charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child, 12 or under, first-degree sexual abuse, victim under 12 years of age, and first-degree rape, victim under 12 years of age.

Cornett was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail before being extradited to the Butler County Jail, where she remains incarcerated.
