Woman accused of burglarizing Bowling Green veterinary clinic
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A Bowling Green woman is behind bars after authorities said she burglarized a veterinary clinic Wednesday morning in Warren County.
Ashley McGowan, 30, is charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, theft of mail matter and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
According to Bowling Green police, McGowan broke into the Bypass Animal Clinic in the 1000 block of the US 31W Bypass around 6 a.m.
Police said McGowan had a large black garbage bag containing items she had taken from the clinic, such as tools, air fresheners and kitchen supplies.
Police also said McGowan was in possession of a small baggie containing suspected methamphetamine.
McGowan is also accused of stealing an envelope containing a check from a drop box belonging to a neighboring business. Police indicated in an arrest citation that the check was located at the animal clinic.
McGowan is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and being held without bond.
