WKU fans participate in ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ for Toys for Tots

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It was raining cats and dogs in Diddle Arena yesterday afternoon… literally.

No, they weren’t living, breathing cats and dogs but rather stuffed animals thrown onto the court by fans.

The promotion was a campaign called the Teddy Bear Toss. Fans were encouraged to bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal to throw onto the court at halftime of WKU Men’s Basketball’s game against Troy.

All of the fuzzy friends were donated to Toys for Tots for those less fortunate this Christmas season.

At least six trash bags full were donated thanks to fans.
