Western Forensics Team members win championships

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Western Kentucky University announced Wednesday that Forensics Team members Faith LoPiccolo or Lexington and Alex Rivera or Newton, Kansas, won championships in the National Forensics Association event, Performances of Distinction competition.

The seniors were awarded Varsity Performances of Highest Distinction in both speech and debate events in a virtual contest hosted by the NFA from June 1 to June 20.

WKU was one of only two schools nationwide to be awarded Performance of Distinction honors in both debate and speech, and the only school to win in both categories. LoPiccolo was named a Performer of Distinction for excellence across multiple events.
