Warren County Sheriff’s Office to reconstruct fatal accident, road to close temporarily

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County roadway will close for accident reconstruction on Wednesday.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Girkin Road will close from 9 to 11 a.m. for accident reconstruction.

On May 25, WCSO responded to the 500 block of Girkin Road for a fatal single-vehicle accident.

70-year-old Robert Wilson of Edmonson County died on May 26. He was a passenger in the vehicle.

WCSO says alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the incident.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution and find alternative routes during the closure.
