Warren County magistrates return for first in-person Fiscal Court meeting since March
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Elected leaders in Warren County met in-person Friday morning for the first time since March.
The magistrates came together at the Warren County Courthouse for their first in-person Fiscal Court meeting in several months.
Instead of sitting next to each other, the magistrates were separated by 10 ft.
During the meeting, some wore masks and some didn’t, but when the meeting concluded, all the magistrates walked off wearing one.
People in the audience also practiced social distancing by not sitting near one another.
Magistrate Tom Lawrence said it’s good to be back.
“I was really excited to get back and see everyone,” said Lawrence. “Our Zoom meetings have been very good, but I do like to see people face to face.”
Anyone who has business at the Warren County Courthouse is still required to enter through the side door versus the main entrance. At the door, a sheriff’s deputy is checking everyone’s temperature.
