Wanted Hopkinsville man arrested after hit-and-run incident involving pregnant woman

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A Hopkinsville man is charged after an alleged hit-and-run incident involving a pregnant woman.

Christian County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer John Godsey told WKDZ that deputies responded to a hit-and-run crash Monday evening.

Authorities say that the incident began when 38-year-old William Hoggard, of Hopkinsville, was in a verbal argument with a pregnant woman. Hoggard allegedly crashed his vehicle into the pregnant woman’s car on Old Madisonville Road. Hoggard allegedly fled the scene.

Godsey told WKDZ Hoggard had an active warrant for his arrest.

Hoggard was arrested at 9:23 pm and lodged at the Christian County Jail. He is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, first-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.

The investigation is ongoing.
