Wanted Georgia man apprehended in Allen County after vehicle pursuit

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A wanted Georgia man is behind bars after allegedly fleeing police in Scottsville.
According to a uniform citation, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle pull off of the shoulder on Franklin Road.
During this time, deputies say they learned through dispatch the driver, identified as 45-year-old Cardy Robinson of Ringgold, Georgia, had multiple warrants out of Georgia related to obstruction of a police officer and failure to comply with the sex offender registry.
Authorities say Robinson was instructed to stand in front of the deputy’s cruiser, however, he returned to his vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed on Newman Road.
According to the citation, the deputy knew the road had a dead end and deployed spike strips with waiting for backup.
Authorities say a caller reported a pickup truck driving through a fence and a backyard off of Lambert Road.
Deputies say they found the vehicle behind a residence. Additional reports stated Robinson was seen running behind homes on Franklin Road and through a field.
According to authorities, they located Robinson near the dead end of Ramble Creek. Deputies say Robinson was given several verbal commands to turn around and place his hands behind his back.
However, authorities say he failed to comply.
Robinson was restrained and medically cleared on scene by EMS.
Robinson was transported to the Allen County Detention Center, where he remains on charges of second-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), third-degree fleeing or evading police, no registration plates, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first-degree criminal mischief and failure to comply with sex offender registration.
