Walmart looking out for special populations
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Walmart is making some changes ahead of back to school shopping, and many people are sure to be appreciative.
Shopping can be difficult for some people, and back to school shopping even more so, so Walmart is offering sensory-friendly hours from now through August in areas where school starts before labor day to make things a little easier for those who deal with hypersensitivity and lie somewhere on the Autism spectrum.
Walmart will dim the lights, turn off radios and change any monitors or screen to static rather than moving images every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to make shopping a little smoother for adults and children dealing with sensory issues.
