Victim identified in fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Logan County
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Russellville woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Logan County.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, emergency personnel responded to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision at 314 Highland Lick Road on Thursday at approximately 1 p.m.
LCSO’s preliminary investigation indicates that 69-year-old Shirley Ethridge, of Russellville, attempted to cross the road on foot when she was struck by a vehicle traveling west driven by 74-year-old Slyvia Greer of Russellville.
The Logan County Coroner’s Office pronounced Ethridge dead at the scene.
LCSO says “contributing factors are still being evaluated” in a media release.
The Russellville Police Department, Logan County EMS and the Russellville City Fire Department assisted the investigation.
