UPDATE: Metcalfe County authorities make arrest in cemetery vandalism case
EDMONTON, Ky.- Authorities say they have caught the woman accused of intentionally striking multiple headstones at an Edmonton graveyard with a vehicle.
Pamela Stearns, 63, has been charged with first-degree criminal mischief and violating graves.
A week ago, acting on a tip, Metcalfe County sheriff’s deputies said they located the vehicle used during the incident.
On Friday, authorities tracked down Stearns and arrested her.
Sometime on August 17, Stearns is accused of entering the Missionary Mound Cemetery in her vehicle and intentionally running over the headstones.
Stearns is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
