UPDATE: Deputy injured, 1 dead after collision on Edmonton Road in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man died Monday night after authorities say his vehicle collided with a deputy cruiser on Edmonton Road.
The Kentucky State Police says troopers responded after receiving contact shortly before 5:30 p.m. from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a fatal collision.
Troopers arrived at the scene located at Edmonton Road and Veterans Outer Loop in Glasgow, according to KSP.
Authorities say an ongoing investigation determined Barren County deputy Michael Stevenson was traveling on Edmonton Road while responding to an active complaint with activated emergency equipment. As he crossed the intersection, authorities say Stevenson’s vehicle was struck in the passenger side by a 2003 Nissan Frontier.
The driver of the Frontier, William H. Osborn, 63, of Glasgow, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office.
Stevenson, as well as another deputy passenger, were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
