Turnovers plague Lady Toppers in 73-59 loss to TTU
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Western Kentucky Lady Hilltoppers once again failed to overcome a plethora of turnovers on Sunday afternoon and fell to Tennessee Tech, 73-59.
WKU has now lost two straight games and falls to 1-5 on the 2020-21 season.
The Lady Toppers had 23 total turnovers on the day and suffered from severe foul trouble as three starters finished with 4 personal fouls each.
Greg Collins’ squad shot well, connecting on 55% of their field goal attempts (23-42) and 43% of their 3-point attempts (3-7).
However, the Golden Eagles were able to score 18 points off the Lady Toppers’ turnovers, which provided enough of an advantage to secure the win.
Sunday’s contest marks the non-conference finale for WKU. The Lady Toppers will be back in action on January 1st, 2021 as they begin Conference USA play against Charlotte at Diddle Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CST.
