TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital invests in advanced technology for cardiac catherization lab

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is announcing upgrades to its cardiac catheterization lab, including investments in advanced imaging technology and a redesigned procedural space to support high-quality cardiac care.
According to a release, the updated lab will include a new, image-guided therapy system that provides physicians with enhanced imaging capabilities during cardiac procedures.
Officials say the new system offers more flexibility in how the equipment can be positioned around a patient as well.
“During a cardiac procedure, we rely on imaging to guide each step of a patient’s care,” said Roshan Mathew, MD, chief medical officer and interventional cardiologist at TriStar Greenview. “This technology gives us enhanced visualization while supporting radiation safety. The redesigned space gives our team greater flexibility to work around the patient, helping us deliver precise, patient-focused care.”
According to TriStar Greenview, the project includes improvements to the physical space designed around the needs of patients and care teams. This includes additional storage, changes to support patient and colleague comfort and updated entrances allowing colleagues to move more efficiently through the procedural area.
“When you improve the environment where care is delivered, you create opportunities to make the experience better for everyone in the room, including the patient,” said Mike Sherrod, chief executive officer of TriStar Greenview. “This project brings together advanced imaging technology and a redesigned procedural space to give our cardiac team an environment built around how they care for patients every day.”
