A new addition comes to Mint Gaming Hall

FRANKLIN, Ky. – A new addition to the Mint Gaming Hall at Kentucky Downs is finally open.

The Mint staff held a ribbon cutting for a brand-new event center connected to the gaming hall.

This center will be able to host weddings, conferences & parties of up to nearly 300 people.

The Mint already has a few events lined up that will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The center will also be connected to the new Spring Hill Suites hotel opening in July.

When the hotel opens, there will be a way to get both a room and event booked at the same time.

“As you are booking rooms to the hotel, you can also book the meetings as well, which we also have the meeting room inside the Marriott… the hotel as well, but if you need to book a larger event that can accommodate up to 300-400 people, we have it inside,” Johan Mirkovic, Vice President & General Manager of The Mint at Kentucky Downs says.

The event center will also have a lawn area on the side closer to the racetrack that can host concerts.

Mirkovic says everyone on the staff deserves recognition for working day in and day out to bring this new event site to the community.
