Thanksgiving Feast served to those in need

GLASGOW, Ky. – For the eleventh consecutive year, the Franklin family from Glasgow will be preparing a Thanksgiving feast at the Ralph Bunche Community Center for thousands of people for free.

The team has been cooking since Monday in preparation for Thursday’s celebration from 10am-4pm held at the community center.

The team is preparing 3,200 meals of turkey, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, gravy, and mashed potatoes.

The funding for this Thanksgiving Meal comes most from donations from the community but have even received donations from as far away as Lexington for the cause.

The meal is prepared and served by around 150 volunteers each year.

Any leftover food will be donated to the soup kitchen and other community members in need.
