Teen accused of demanding money and making threat against schools in Allen County
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky.- An Allen County teenager has been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening after police said he left a chilling voicemail for the Allen County Board of Education.
According to a news release from the Scottsville Police Department, on Thursday, the teenager called the board of education and demanded money in a voicemail, saying there would be a massacre in 24 hours if he did not receive the payment.
Through their investigation, the FBI, Scottsville Police and the Department of Homeland Security determined that the call came from a teenager within the school system.
Police interviewed the teenager along with a parent.
Police said the teenager confessed to making the threat.
