Student loan payments resume

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – To the dismay of many student loan borrowers, Uncle Sam is calling once again.

Student loans and the interest that comes with them started back on Sept. 1, which means some more bills are being re-added to the plates of millions of college graduates after 3 years. News 40 spoke to a university official about this pot moving up from the backburner.

Jace Lux, spokesperson for Western Kentucky University said that it’s important for those who haven’t been paying on their loans for a while to explore new payment options that may not have been around in 2020, verify who your loan is being serviced by and make sure that they are able to get a hold of you.
