Step Up for Down Syndrome this Saturday

BOWLING GREEN Ky. – Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky is preparing to host their 25th annual Step Up for Down Syndrome at the Bowling Green Ballpark on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. in the morning.

The event is aimed at creating and encouraging community within Bowling Green of people with and touched by Down Syndrome. It is a day of fun and activities that also raises money for a good cause.

“I tell everyone, if you’ve never been, your heart will. Thank you because you just come and you just see the joy on the faces of the individuals that have Down Syndrome, you see the community that’s come together to support the organization and the members,” Leann Sparks, a staff member at DSSKY, said.
