Step Up for Down Syndrome event will take place as a car parade

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The 22nd annual Step Up for Down Syndrome walk is still a go in South Central Kentucky.

Down Syndrome of South Central Kentucky announcing that the walk, formerly known as the Buddy Walk, will be on Saturday, September 19, at Living Hope Baptist Church.

The Step Up for Down Syndrome walk is the largest annual fundraiser that the organization hosts every year.

This year the “walk” will actually be a car parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The full festivities kick off on Friday, September 18, with a virtual event.

Between 1,500 and 2,000 people usually attend the walk.
