SoKY’s Choice: White Squirrel Brewery hosts United Pro Wrestling tournament
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – White Squirrel Brewery hosted United Pro Wrestling’s Bowling Green Massacre wrestling tournament.
Fans from all over the community came to enjoy a night of live entertainment. The event contained multiple different matches, and different types of fights, including two team fights to single fights. Wrestlers came from all over the country to be a part of the event. Owner and promoter of United Pro Wrestling, Randall Smith, enjoyed the event because of the way it brought the Bowling Green community together.
“Just seeing the fans, seeing the excitement. And hearing the fans, the more they’re into the show, the more we’re into it. It’s like if you go on a roller coaster and you’re just sitting there, you’re not getting much enjoyment out of, you know. But if you’re are. Oh, it’s fun. And you’re showing that it’s fun and you’re having.” Says Smith.
The event brought people of all ages, but Smith talks about how his love for wrestling started at a very young age and continues to grow with the more opportunities that spark from United Pro Wrestling.
“I’ve been hooked on wrestling since I was around 6 or 7 years old. It’s just been in my blood. I’ve been in the wrestling business since 2002. I’ve been promoting events since 2004. It’s just something I can’t get away from. It’s exciting. And seeing the joy that it puts on people’s faces. And when we are able to do, like, benefits and fundraisers, seeing what it can do for that community or for those in need.” Says Smith.
This is not the last event that United Pro Wrestling will have at White Squirrel Brewery.
On Dec.13, there will be another tournament held at White Squirrel Brewery, and it will be helping get donations for Toys for Tots. To learn more about their upcoming events and how to donate for their next event, visit their website at United-Pro-Wrestling.com.
