Six UK football players charged with burglary, former Bowling Green player involved
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Six University of Kentucky football players were charged with burglary Thursday afternoon following a home invasion incident, according to a release by the Lexington Police Department.
Devito Tisdale, one of the players accused, is a graduate of Bowling Green High School where he played football for the Purples.
According to the release, on Saturday March 6th there was a private party being thrown at a residence. During the party, three individuals entered the residence uninvited and were asked to leave. The individuals became upset and threatened they would return.
According to police, a short time later the group returned and forced their way into the home. Tisdale is accused of pointing a firearm at a victim.
As a result of the investigation, six players are charged with first degree burglary. Tisdale is also charged with first degree wanton endangerment.
The other players involved include Reuben Adams, Robert McClain, Andru Phillips, Earnest Sanders IV and Joel Williams.
