Second arrest made in Bowling Green church parking lot robbery

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Police in Bowling Green have arrested a second suspect who they believe is connected to an armed robbery that occurred in a church parking lot.

Timothy Parker, 37, is charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree wanton endangerment and theft by unlawful taking.

Parker, who had a warrant out for his arrest, was located Tuesday at the Minitmart on Campbell Ln.

Police said Parker and Amy Hawkins, 39, robbed a homeless woman who was sleeping in her car last Sunday in the parking lot at Crossland Community Church.

The victim told police Parker had a gun and forced her to give up her purse.

Parker is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail.
