Scottsville man arrested, charged with drug trafficking

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man is accused of trafficking methamphetamine.
According to a uniform citation, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the home of 43-year-old Jeremiah Buchanan.
On Monday, authorities located Buchanan on Pleasant Grove Church Road.
Investigators say Buchanan was detained at the scene. Officers say a “large amount” of suspected methamphetamine was located in Buchanan’s vehicle.
Buchanan allegedly told officers he traveled to Tennessee twice to meet an unknown individual to purchase methamphetamine.
The suspected methamphetamine weighs 68.4 grams, according to the citation.
Buchanan was arrested on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (second or more, greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine) and persistent felony offender I.
Buchanan was lodged at the Allen County Jail. His full cash bond is $40,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
