Road closures in downtown Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – State Street is down to one lane until further notice between East 10th Avenue and East 11th Avenue. Emergency officials say this is the only remaining traffic change at this time.

All other roads are now open.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – We have an updated list of road closures in downtown Bowling Green.

The following roads are closed due to a structure fire at the 1000 block of State Street early Friday morning. Fire crews remain on-site to watch for rekindling.

Emergency officials say several streets are affected, including the following:

• East 11th Avenue from State Street to College Street and from State Street to Chestnut Street.
• State Street from East 12th Avenue to East 10th Avenue.
• Westbound traffic on 12th Avenue from State Street to Chestnut Street.
• East 10th Avenue from State Street to Chestnut Street.

As of around 2:30 p.m., the Bowling Green Fire Department says the portion of Chestnut Street that was blocked is now accessible.

Please drive cautiously and remain aware of detours and signs blocking traffic as crews continue to work downtown.
