Recycling returns to Warren County & Bowling Green; prices range $8.50-$17.50

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The price you pay for trash pick up may be changing.

Recycling is coming back to Bowling Green and Warren County, but it’s going to operate a little differently than in years past.

Scott Waste is no longer the exclusive waste collector for the community.

Republic Services is now the exclusive residential franchise. Residents covered under this program will be paying about $0.76 less.

The group will stop most back door pickup services. Instead, they’ll pick up curbside trash from newly provided 96-gallon containers.

Recycle company — Recyclops — will provide both the city and county with voluntary subscription recycling services, but at a higher price than the county saw in years past.

Residents will pay anywhere from $8.50 to $17.50 per month for the service.
